Insight is a modular MS-Windows® based suite of integrated, open-architecture tools for flight data analysis, driven by years of practical experience by the world's leading flight data analysts at the major investigative agencies.
Insight features full engineering units transcription engine and parameter database management. This allows all Insight applications to support 'on the fly' engineering units conversion for efficiency and handling high data volumes. Typical uses of Insight include general flight data analysis, engineering, aircraft performance, flight test, accident investigation and flight data analysis/monitoring/flight operation quality assurance.

Insight represents over twenty years of development, fifteen of which were in a working accident investigation lab (TSB/Canada). Insight is the platform of choice for accident investigation and is an excellent tool to identify and study events for FDA/FDM/FOQA programs. It is also used by investigative agencies, aircraft manufacturers, and more leading airlines.

Insight works interactively with binary data, eliminating the need to generate inefficient Comma Separated Variable (CSV) engineering units files. On-the-fly processing of binary data gives analysts access to all of the parameters at the precise timing and resolution they were recorded at. CSV files replicating this accuracy would be far too large to work with. The system is fully configurable at the user level to handle everything from a routine event to the most complex cases.

Insight's modular applications allow users to select the appropriate degree of functionality for their environment from detailed event/accident investigation to automatic flight debriefing.

Exclusively marketed world-wide by NAV CANADA, the Radar Analysis Debriefing System (RADS) is an Insight based derivative system for displaying radar data in an intuitive 3-Dimensional environment. RADS allows you to view and analyse aircraft positions in space and time, listen to Air Traffic Control (ATC) voice recordings, and view the ATC transcript simultaneously. Aircraft flight paths, ATC audio, and ATC transcript are all synchronized in time.
