Immediate Opening for Software Designers

Overview

As part of the Flightscape Development Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting Flightscape’s flight safety software.

The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in the latest software development technology, and is self motivated to find solutions to software issues.

Skills

  • Windows development experience in C, C++, and C# with Borland Builder and Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of 3D animation technologies such as OpenGL.
  • Understanding of Interface Control Documents, binary data file design and data handling methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Works well under pressure in a flexible software environment.
  • Experience with SQL, MS SQL, ASP.NET DirectX, CVS, and HTML is considered an asset.

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years experience in a software development environment.
  • Interest and experience in the aviation industry and understanding of flight data recording systems is considered an asset.
Immediate Opening for Web and Database Developers

Overview

As part of the Flightscape Development Team, you will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting Flightscape’s Insight|FDM application. You will be responsible for ensuring that the integrity and security of the customer database is maintained and providing customer support related to the applications and databases.

You will also be responsible for developing database reports according to specifications and integrating those reports into the web application.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, you will be required to maintain and update the corporate web site as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Works well under pressure in a flexible software environment.
  • Experience with Javascript, XML, MySQL and Apache is considered an asset

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years experience in web design with emphasis on database applications
  • Interest and experience in the aviation industry and understanding of flight data recording systems is considered an asset.
